Doctors Vision Center Names New President

Doctors Vision Center, a professional eye care network of 44 eye care centers, is proud to announce the appointment of Bob Wright as the company’s new president.

Wright began his career with Doctors Vision Center in 2001, serving as chief financial officer and directed the financial and account services for the company. In his new role as president, he will manage the overall day-to-day operations, while focusing on strategic initiatives and innovative growth.

“I am humbled to be appointed as president by the Board of Directors and see tremendous opportunity for the future of Doctors Vision Center and its expansion of the professional eye care network”, says Wright.  “Independent optometry is constantly evolving and Doctors Vision Center has always been on the forefront of the industry.  I plan to continue the path set forth by many of those who have served in this organization,”

Wright’s appointment comes after the retirement of William “Buzz” Hollis, who served in the position for the past five years. For the immediate future, Wright will maintain his responsibilities as CFO, while also assuming the role of president.

“Bob Wright has been an integral part of the Doctors Vision Center team for over ten years,” notes Dr. Peter Hollis, co-founder and chairman of Doctors Vision Center. “Bob is a proven strategic leader and has been a key player in our growth over the last decade. His dedication, work ethic and integrity are exemplary in this industry.”

Prior to joining Doctors Vision Center, Wright served as vice president of finance & administration for Hardee’s Food Systems. Wright received his bachelors degree in economics from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, attended the MBA program at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN and the Young Executives program at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.

“We are excited to see Bob step into this role and know his expertise and leadership will propel Doctors Vision Center forward,” states Dr. Hollis.
